Citi Field, home of the New York Mets, was voted the winning venue by USA Today’s 10Best Readers’ Choice travel award this year for Best Stadium Food. The 2023 10Best Readers’ Choice list highlights some of the standout meals available at Citi Field.

Citi Field’s nomination for this list was chosen by a panel of relevant experts, including a combination of USA Today editors, 10Best.com editors, relevant expert contributors and sources for both these media and other Gannett properties before a public online vote.

“We are thrilled to be voted the winner of the Best Stadium Food award by our fans,” Mets Vice President of Hospitality Taryn Donovan said. “Citi Field has maintained its reputation as one of the top culinary destinations in sports and entertainment since it opened in 2009 and continues to evolve to provide Mets fans with an experience like no other.”

Citi Field’s top tier dining options bring fans delicious and exciting new local food from New York City each season. Aramark Senior Executive Chef Jason Eksterowicz has been responsible for overseeing Citi Field’s culinary operations since joining the team in the winter of 2017.

Some of the ballpark favorites at Citi Field include Pat LaFrieda’s Filet Mignon Steak Sandwich, David Chang’s Fuku, Danny Meyer’s Shake Shack and the Taste of Queens portable, which rotates every month-and-a-half to feature different local Queens small businesses. Citi Field also offers exclusives like the Classic New York Deli Pastrami Sandwich, Amazin’ Chicken Co. and Metropolitan Fry Factory.

10Best.com complemented Citi Field’s ability to reflect New York City’s culinary identity through its food options. The food is as diverse as the borough of Queens.
