Free senior health and wellness expo in Flushing coming soon

Schneps Media and VillageCareMAX will be holding a free Senior Health and Wellness Expo Thursday, Nov. 2, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Sheraton LaGuardia East Hotel, located at 135-20 39th St. in Flushing. There will be valuable resources, activities and support available for the senior community.

This complimentary event will feature expo tables, informative breakout sessions, giveaways, a raffle and lunch for the first 200 people to attend the event. Additionally, the first 50 attendees will get free parking.

Among the topics that those who attend the Senior Health and Wellness Expo will learn about are managed health care, senior living, finances, trusts and estates, fraud and scam protection, healthy living and staying active.

In addition to providing health screenings, the expo will allow for people to learn about chronic diseases like Diabetes, and treatment options for them, like nutrition.

The location of the event has direct access to buses and the subway. Those interested in attending can register at SeniorExpoNY.com. Walk ins are also welcome.
