Young Manhattan boy vanishes while shopping with his dad in Flushing: NYPD

Police from the 109th Precinct are searching for a 7-year-old Manhattan boy who was reported missing while shopping with his father in Flushing on Sunday evening.

Daniel Alejandro Fernandez-Martinez was last seen leaving the Nike store inside the Shops at Skyview, located at 40-24 College Point Blvd. in Flushing, at around 7:19 p.m. on Nov. 19, according to the NYPD.

The young boy is approximately 4 feet, 2 inches tall and 60 pounds, with brown hair and black hair. He was last seen wearing gray jeans, a black winter coat with a white fur-lined hood and blue sneakers.

Police are mindful of a gathering storm that will bring strong winds and heavy rain to the borough during the evening hours of Tuesday.

Officers from the 109th Precinct responded to a raucous early-morning car meetup in College Point on Sunday, May 11, after receiving numerous 311 complaints about loud music and disruptive motor vehicle noise.

Police arrived at the Home Depot parking lot at 124-04 31st Ave. around 1:30 a.m. and found a large gathering of vehicles, some outfitted with “massive speakers” mounted on the roof, blasting music across the area. Officers seized four vehicles at the scene and issued six summonses to motorists, according to the NYPD. No arrests were made.
