Famous Spanish performer Charo to perform exclusive one-night show at Queens Theatre on March 2

The internationally acclaimed artist Charo, celebrated for her exceptional talents as a singer and comedian, will grace the stage at Queens Theatre in Flushing Meadows–Corona Park for an exclusive one-night-only performance on Saturday, Mar. 2.

The Spanish native has earned widespread recognition for her mastery of guitar playing, accumulating numerous music awards throughout her illustrious career. Audiences can look forward to a memorable evening filled with her biggest hits and captivating performance.

Taryn Sacramone, Executive Director of Queens Theatre said the venue is very excited to host Charo.

“We have been looking forward to this performance all season! I love telling people that Charo will be at Queens Theatre – they light up. She is a true entertainer, who has brought multiple generations joy, from her appearances with Johnny Carson to her Instagram feed today. It will truly be an honor to have Charo play guitar on our stage; she is an unbelievable musician. Everyone who loves music should see her perform live,” she said.

Charo also appeared on numerous television shows like ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars,” “Celebrity Wife Swap” and the CW’s “Jane The Virgin.” She also voiced the character Mama Toad in the animated film “Thumbelina.” Fans of Charo’s music and acting are encouraged to buy tickets to this one-of-a-kind show.

A celebrated advocate for the LGBTQ community, Charo’s participation in Pride events and her memorable guest appearance on the reality TV show “RuPaul’s Drag Race” have endeared her to a wide audience. Her Queens-based fans from all communities are expected to fill the seats of Queens Theatre.

Flushing man charged with murder in fatal stabbing of wife at spa

A Flushing man was criminally charged in the fatal stabbing of his wife in front of horrified customers at a Kissena Boulevard spa during the evening of Tuesday, Sept. 3.

Jiahai Ma, 25, of Cherry Avenue, was arraigned in Queens Criminal Court on Wednesday evening on a criminal complaint charging him with second-degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon for allegedly killing 26-year-old Jui Mei Tang during a fit of rage in the basement of the Bodywork Spa at 41-39 Kissena Blvd.
