Third-prize-winning Powerball tickets sold in Glendale and Flushing

The New York Lottery announced on Tuesday that two Queens businesses each sold a third-prize-winning ticket for the Powerball drawing on Monday, Mar. 25.

JM Deli and Grocery Corp. at 73-01 88th St. in Glendale and Kai Smart Family Store Inc. at 199-11 32nd Ave. in Flushing both sold a prize-winning ticket worth $50,000.

Three other third-prize-winning tickets were sold across New York State for the same drawing. The other tickets, also valued at $50,000, were sold in Buffalo, West Seneca and Ardsley.

The winning Powerball numbers are drawn from a field of 1-69, with the red Power Ball drawn from a separate field of 1-26. The drawings are televised every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m.

Scott Chiang, 53, was arraigned Friday in Queens Criminal Court on a 242-count criminal complaint after the searches at the two locations uncovered 18 illegal firearms, including eight ghost guns and six assault weapons, as well as high-capacity magazines, ammo and gun manufacturing tools.
