The police have arrested a woman who allegedly struck and killed a 77-year-old pedestrian on a Flushing street yesterday and fled the scene.
Geum Min, a 58-year-old Flushing resident, plowed into Jun Sum at 7:10 am Wednesday while the victim was crossing Parsons Boulevard mid block between 32nd Avenue and 33rd Avenue, police said
When police arrived, Sum was unconscious and unresponsive and was transported to Flushing Hospital Medical Center where she was pronounced dead. Min had allegedly left the scene.
Min has been charged with leaving the scene of an accident, failing to yield to a pedestrian and failure to exercise due car, according to police.
