A trove of items were stolen from the Flushing Senior Center last week, police say.

The burglary happened on Jan. 18 at around 2:30 a.m., when a man went inside the senior center at 136-82 39th Ave and stole laptops, a cell phone, tables, and money, according to police.

The man then fled on foot in an unknown direction, police said.

The suspect is described as black, and was last seen wearing a black hooded jacket, a gray hat, and blue jeans, the NYPD said.

Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).

For 8 years we would be called all sorts of names and harassed if we did mention the color of the perp.

Someone put a thumbs down. They don’t think a suspect’s race should be mentioned in the description. LOL. To the person who did the thumb’s down: What if we just always say the perp is white? Would that be acceptable to you?
