Police Looking for Pickpocket who has been Targeting Flushing Residents and Shoppers

Police are searching for an alleged pickpocket who was involved in a series of thefts in Flushing between Oct. 29 and Jan. 16.

The suspect, described as black and in his 40s, allegedly took property from 10 victims during that time period.

In the most recent case, a woman reported to police that on Jan. 16 at around 5:35 pm she was walking up a staircase in a Flushing store when she realized that an unknown man was touching her purse.

The man made off with her iPhone 6, four credit cards and a debit card.

Later that day, a transaction was made at a Chase Bank with one of the cards and more than $400 was withdrawn.
