The application period for an affordable apartment in a Flushing complex opened yesterday.
There are 3 affordable units on offer at a newly-developed complex at 168-05 Depot Road. The building is four stories and will also contain four market-rate units.
The building will offer parking–for a fee– and a laundry room.
There is one, 1-bedroom affordable apartment on offer; and two, 2-bedroom apartments up for grabs.
The rent for the one bedroom will be $1,700 and will be for individuals earning between $58,286 and $95,030 or two people earning between $58,286 and $108,550.
The 2-bedroom apartments will rent for $1,950 and incomes range from $66,858 for two people up to $135,590 for four people.
The market rate units are being offered at $2,050 for a one bedroom and $2,250 and up for 2-bedrooms.
Applicants can apply for the affordable units at NYC Housing Connect. Applications are being accepted through July 3.
