A restaurant and bar serving food that blends contemporary American and Korean cuisine will host its grand opening in Flushing this weekend.

The Sweet Sap, located at 189-11 Northern Blvd, aims to serve dishes that honor Flushing’s Asian heritage, as well as the style of modern American food.

The restaurant will serve dishes such as a galbi burger— a combination of an American burger and a Korean short rib dish— served with truffle fries. Also on the menu is a French-inspired roasted half chicken served with citrus Gochujang red chili paste.

For dessert, matcha “panda” cotta and coconut rice pudding are on offer.

The restaurant will also feature a terrace and “restaurant-in-a-home” style decor.

“Behind the terrace gates that are The Sweet Sap’s entrance, patrons are welcomed with a closed off garden with quality food that matches its grandeur,” the restaurant said in a statement.

The Sweet Sap will host its grand opening this Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. This weekend, the restaurant will offer complimentary beer for guests who check in on social media and buy one get one free Frosé (frozen rosé).
