A woman’s body was found floating in Flushing Creek this morning.

Police say that they were called to the creek in response to a 911 call about a person in the water near 34-16 College Point Blvd. at 10:05 a.m.

The New York Police Department Harbor Unit found a woman, who was unconscious and unresponsive, floating in the water.

The officers pulled her from the water, and emergency responders pronounced her dead on the scene.

The woman has yet to be identified and her age is unknown.

The NYC Medical Examiner will determine the cause of the woman’s death, police say.

flush it

That creek and the other waterways around flushing need to be dried up and filled or turned into an underground channel, and they can consider building a park over it, it’s disgusting, smells horribly in hot days, and full of mosquitos and disease.
