Retro fast-food chain Sonic Drive-In has opened a location across the street from New World Mall.

Sonic, which is known for classic American fast food such as burgers, corndogs, fries and shakes, opened at 136-51 Roosevelt Ave. The storefront is the former location of a Gamestop.

Although its signature restaurants are drive-ins, the Flushing restaurant does not have curbside service due to the limitations of the storefront’s location.

The location is open daily from 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m., according to Google.

The restaurant is now Sonic’s only restaurant in Queens. Sonic’s nearest other location is at 750 West Sunrise Hwy. in Valley Stream, which offers drive-in service.

Sonic was founded in Oklahoma in 1953 and today boasts than 3,603 locations, according to the chain’s website.

yum

Pretzels, and mozz sticks, tots, shakes, hand churned Ice cream and deals on meals all the time! I am so excited to have a more local location of Sonic, even if it won’t include the roller skating car hops!
