An 89-year-old woman was struck and killed by a car on 32nd Avenue just steps from her Parsons Boulevard home on Sunday morning.

The vehicle hit Piscina, who had been walking north across 32nd Avenue. The driver, 54, remained on the scene.

Emergency responders rushed to the scene and found Piscina lying unconscious on the roadway with head trauma. They rushed her to NY Presbyterian Hospital- Queens, where she later died.

No arrests have been made, although the investigation is ongoing.
