Police have released video footage of a man who allegedly stole thousands of dollars worth of cash and merchandise from two Flushing businesses.
Police say that the suspect broke into a clothing store at 136-31 41st Ave. at around 8 p.m. on Sept. 27 by forcing his way through an unlocked gate.
The man took a number of retail clothing items worth about $2,000 and went off in an unknown direction.
The man went back to store–called Mey Business–on Oct. 1 at 12:20 a.m. He forced open a locked rear door and searched the location, but did not take anything.
About an hour later, he targeted a cellphone store, called League of Mobile, in the same building by forcing open a locked rear door. He took about $1,000 in cash from the register and took off on foot, police said.
Police describe the suspect as a Hispanic, and between 20 and 30 years old. He was last seen wearing a goatee, a two-toned hoodie and light colored pants.
