Cabbie Killed in Kew Gardens Hills Crash

A cab driver was killed after his taxi slammed into a light pole in Kew Gardens Hills on Saturday.

Police say that the victim was Nfn Pal, a 62-year-old Hollis resident. Pal was driving the taxi, a green Ford Escape, south on Main Street at around 4:37 p.m. when he crashed into a light pole on the corner of Main Street and 58th Avenue. 

Emergency responders rushed Pal to Booth Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. 

No arrests have been made.
