Police Investigating Death of Flushing Man Found Dead in Basement Apartment

Police are investigating the death of a man who was found face down in the bathroom of his Flushing apartment last night with deep wounds to his throat and wrist.

At 11:45 p.m. Tuesday, police received a 911 call that a man was in need of medical assistance inside a basement apartment at 42-12 Burling St.

When cops arrived, they found find the man unconscious and EMS pronounced him dead on the scene.

The victim has been identified as 26-year-old Xiaopeng Zhu. The medical examiner will determine the cause of death and the investigation is still ongoing.
