The Flushing Business Improvement District (BID) has released its 2019 Coupon Book filled with offers from area businesses as a way to encourage consumers to shop locally.

The coupon book this year features discounts at over 60 businesses in the Downtown Flushing area, with a total of 10,000 books to be distributed through the neighborhood.

A wide range of businesses are represented in the book, including restaurants, retail and beauty services. The discounts will be available starting Jan. 7, and will go through June 30.

“We truly believe this program will generate a positive impact on businesses during the shopping season, also benefit consumers with great shopping deals and experience,” the BID said in a statement.

The book will be available to be picked up at locations around the Flushing area like the Queens Botanical Garden, Flushing Town Hall, and various travel agencies and hotels. The BID will also hand out booklets at its booth in front of the Flushing library.

Shoppers can also request for a copy of the book to be mailed to them, with coupons to be delivered on a bi-weekly basis.

The coupon book program began three years ago, and is funded in part by a grant from NYC Small Business Services.
