The police are looking for a suspect who stabbed a man during a botched robbery in downtown Flushing last month.

The suspect allegedly approached the victim in the vicinity of Roosevelt Avenue and Prince Street at around 8 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 21, and then asked to borrow money.

The victim, 36, declined and the suspect pulled out a knife, according to police. The suspect tried to remove the victim’s backpack and stabbed him in the left shoulder. The suspect fled the scene empty handed, while the victim was treated and released from New York Presbyterian/Queens.

The suspect is described as Asian and in his 30s. He was last seen wearing a black hooded jacket and blue jeans.

Anyone with information on the case should contact the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-577-8477, or text CRIMES and then enter TIP577, or visit www.nypdcrimestoppers.com.

For missing persons, do not write the full address of their residence if that’s where they were last seen. Use cross streets instead. If they were last seen at a non-residential location like a school or the bank, you can use the full address.
