Police have arrested a man who is suspected of attacking and sexual assaulting a woman on a Flushing street last month.

Jose Montes, a 32-year-old Jackson Heights resident, was arrested on Jan. 12 and charged with sex abuse, third degree assault, and second degree harassment after allegedly punching and sexually assaulting a 56-year-old woman on Dec. 18.

Montes allegedly approached the victim, who was near 165th Street and Sanford Avenue, at around 2 a.m. and began punching her in the face multiple times before proceeding to sexually assault her, police said.

The assailant, according to reports, put his hands in the victim’s pants and penetrated her with his fingers before fleeing.

The victim was taken to an area hospital where she was treated and released.

Good work NYPD. We are safer now that this animal is behind bars. Is it ok to ask: What is the immigration status of Mr. Jose Montes?
