Police Looking for Serial Pickpocket, Snatched Purses from More that a Dozen Victims in College Point and Manhattan

The police are looking for a woman who has been snatching wallets and purses from shoppers at retail stores in College Point, Elmhurst and midtown Manhattan over the past year.

Police say the woman’s crime spree began on June 12 when she allegedly took a purse from a shopper at TJ Maxx located at 136-03 20th Ave. The purse contained credit cards, $400 cash and other property.

The suspect then allegedly stole a wallet from a 30-year-old woman on Sunday, Sept. 2 at Uniqlo, located at 31 West 34th St.

On Oct. 13, the police say the suspect took a wallet–that contained a credit card–from a 90-year-old woman who was shopping inside Macy’s at 90-01 Queens Blvd. That same day, police say the suspect used the 90-year-old’s credit card at a number of stores at the Queens Center Mall.

The suspect is also wanted for taking a purse from a shopping cart at Target, located at 135-05 20th Ave., at around 3:15 p.m. on Sunday Oct. 28. Later that day, a woman’s purse was taken from a shopping cart at TJ Maxx at 135-05 20th Ave.

Other incidents occurred inside Zara, located at 39 West 34th St., at around 6:30 p.m. on Nov. 23, and at Macy’s at 151 West 34th St on Nov. 3.

The police have footage of the suspect at H&M, located at 1293 Broadway in Manhattan, where a woman’s wallet was taken on Thursday, Oct. 4 at 10 p.m.

The suspect is described as black, approximately 40 to 50 years of age and having a thin build. She is known to wear light colored glasses and a gold ring on her right hand.

Masked gunman robs Total Wireless store in Flushing, steals $6K: NYPD

Police from the 109th Precinct in Flushing are looking for a masked gunman who pulled off an armed robbery at a cell phone store on the night of Monday, May 5.

The suspect entered the Total Wireless shop located in the old Hua Cheng Restaurant at 41-19 Kissena Blvd., across the street from the Queens Public Library branch, just before 7 p.m. He approached the counter, pulled out a firearm, and threatened the 27-year-old woman who was working the night shift, police said Wednesday.
