A man was found dead on the ground in front of a Flushing apartment building yesterday evening, police say.
At around 5:01 p.m. on Jan. 24, police responded to a 911 call regarding an aided man outside the apartment building at 147-15 Northern Boulevard.
The man, identified as 41-year-old Emmanuel Velasquez, was lying on the ground unconscious and unresponsive when police found him, an NYPD spokesperson said.
EMS later pronounced Velasquez dead on the scene.
It is possible that Velasquez was homeless, the spokesperson said, as there was no known address connected to the deceased.
The NYPD spokesperson added that no no criminality is suspected at the time, but the medical examiner will determine the cause of death, and the investigation remains ongoing.
