Police are searching for three men who brutally attacked a panhandler on a Flushing street earlier this month.

The three men allegedly beat the homeless man after they were approached by the victim on the corner of Cherry Avenue and Kissena Boulevard at around 6:50 p.m. March 2, police said.

Police say the trio proceeded to hit the 25-year-old homeless man in the face and head with what was described by the victim as their fists and a stick-like weapon.

The victim suffered from lacerations to the head and face and was taken to New York–Presbyterian Hospital Queens in Flushing for treatment.

The motive for the assault is unknown and the investigation remains ongoing.

The 109th Precinct took to twitter to ask for the public’s help in identifying the suspects.

Anyone with information on the case should contact the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-577-8477, or text CRIMES and then enter TIP577, or visit www.nypdcrimestoppers.com.
