Haagen-Daz to Open at Skyview Center in Flushing April 26

Häagen-Dazs

April 18, 2019 By Alexa Beyer

A Häagen-Dazs is opening in the Skyview Center at the end of the month.

The store opens on Friday, April 26 and the first 300 customers will receive a free scoop of ice cream starting at 10 a.m.

There will be many prizes on offer that can be won through scratch-off cards the store will be distributing to customers throughout the week–or while supplies last. One customer will receive a year’s worth of free ice cream, among the prizes on offer.

The store will be located on the first floor of the 4024 College Point Blvd. mall, across from the Nike outlet. The owner, Alex Hsieh, already runs a bubble tea store, Gong Cha, located in the center.

Hsieh said that he’s seen foot traffic increase in the mall since he opened his bubble tea store two years ago. This inspired him, he said, to approach Haagen-Dazs and open another store in the mall.

The New York Hall of Science in Corona opened its largest interactive exhibition in more than a decade on Saturday, May 3. The exhibition explores the often invisible inner workings of the built urban environment.

CityWorks is housed in a 6,000 square foot gallery, and the exhibit was created by a team of NYCSI exhibit developers, researchers, and educators over the past five years. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore the intricate systems and engineering that enable cities to function, including how they break, evolve, and endure.
