Three Brooklyn men have been arraigned on a 22-count indictment related to the “mob-style” killing of a 25-year-old man who had just left a College Point strip club last October, the Queens District Attorney’s office announced Friday.

The defendants, Brandon Lee, 24, of Sands Street; Daijan Palmer, 26, of Skidmore Avenue; and Darvin Guiteau, 24, of East 80th Street, were charged with murder, robbery and other crimes for gunning down a man after pursuing him in their car at around 3:30 a.m. on Oct. 1, 2018.

Lee, Palmer, Guiteau and a fourth unnamed accomplice allegedly got into a black BMW and followed an entourage of four cars after leaving the strip club. The men fired 40 rounds at the vehicles before deliberately smashing their BMW into one of the cars—a Lexus being driven by 25-year-old Jaquan Campbell.

After his vehicle was hit, Campbell, who had a female passenger, drove away from the scene, eventually stopping a few blocks away at the College Point multiplex parking lot to inspect the damage to his car. At that point, the defendants–three of them wearing masks– allegedly swarmed the car. One man fired several bullets into Campbell’s chest, killing him.

The four suspects then abandoned their BMW, forced the female passenger out of the Lexus and drove off in that vehicle. The men then drove the Lexus to 120th Street and 26th Avenue and abandoned it, according to the indictment.

The defendants tried to escape from authorities–some fleeing the state–but were arrested soon after the killing.

“This was a brutal, calculated killing,” said Chief Assistant District Attorney John M. Ryan. “This kind of lawless gun violence will not be tolerated in our community. The defendants tried to escape justice – some fleeing the state – but they’ve all been apprehended and will be imprisoned as a result of their alleged actions.”

Lee, Palmer and Guiteau face up to 25 years to life in prison. They are all being held without bail and will next appear in Queens Criminal Court on May 20.

The fourth unnamed suspect is currently in custody out of state and extradition is pending.
