More than 200 firehouses and EMS stations across New York City will be holding open houses this weekend as part of the FDNY’s fifth annual open house program.
The firehouses will open their doors to the public from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 5 and Sunday Oct. 6.
The FDNY is holding the open house weekend to educate the public about fire and safety, conduct demonstrations, discuss careers within the Department and offer tours.
Five stations across Flushing, College Point and Whitestone will be holding open houses at the weekend.
Engine 273/Ladder 129, Engine 273 and Engine 320/Ladder 167 will all be open to the public in Flushing, while Engine 295/Ladder 144 will be holding an open house in Whitestone.
There will also be one open house in College Point at Engine 297/Ladder 130.
