HomeGoods To Open College Point Store in November

HomeGoods, a discount home décor store, is set to open its third Queens location in College Point next month.

The store will be located at 134-01 20th Ave. and its grand opening is scheduled for 8 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 3. It will be the 25th HomeGoods store to open in New York state.

Customers who visit on grand opening day will receive treats from local bakery Honey Bee Cakes and will be able to participate in games onsite.

HomeGoods is known for providing quality home décor at discount prices and it operates more than 740 stores across the United States. Typically, the store’s prices are between 20 and 60 percent below what’s offered by full-price retailers.

John Ricciuti, President of HomeGoods, said that the new store has something for everyone.

“With a large variety of special merchandise from around the world, customers will always find something thrilling in our treasure hunt environment at great values.  We are happy to provide College Point with a local HomeGoods,” Ricciuti said in a statement.

The new store will be over 23,000 square feet and will employ 65 full-time and part-time employees.

The store will be open from 9:30 a.m. until 9:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. on Sundays. The store will be open from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. on its grand opening day.
