NYPD Looking For Police Impersonator Who Robbed Man at Gunpoint in Flushing

The NYPD is looking for a police impersonator who allegedly robbed a man at gunpoint.

The suspect allegedly forced his way into a basement apartment at around 11:40 a.m. in the vicinity of 45th Avenue and Robinson Street on Oct. 1 and approached a 35-year-old man who was installing a boiler.

The alleged perpetrator displayed a firearm and produced what looked like a police shield around his neck. He then demanded the victim’s property and was able to remove a bag, jewelry, an iPad, cash and clothing from inside before fleeing.

The police have released video of the man fleeing the location and entering a 2-door silver sedan.

Police from the 109th Precinct in Flushing are looking for three burglars who broke into homes in Malba and Murray Hill in March, making off with cash and property.
