To mark Veterans’ Day, Congresswoman Grace Meng is holding a holiday card drive for Queens veterans for the second year in a row.

Meng will be collecting cards from residents–as well as from children at local elementary schools– and then personally deliver them to veterans at the VA St. Albans Community Living Center, at 179-00 Linden Blvd, during the holiday season.

Last year, the Congresswoman collected dozens of holiday cards and handed them out to veterans at the facility during a visit in mid-December.

“As we mark Veterans Day…, we are again reminded of the sacrifices that our veterans have made to protect and defend our freedom,” Meng said.

“The holiday season is a very important time of year,” she added. “Providing these special cards to the brave men and women who served our nation is an outstanding way to recognize their service, and make sure they know that we have not forgotten about them during the holidays.”

Holiday cards can be standard cards or cards made from scratch. They can be dropped off or mailed by Dec. 2 to Meng’s office at:

40-13 159th St., Suite C

Flushing, New York 11358.
