Police Looking for Men Wanted for String of Burglaries in Northeast Queens

Suspects (NYPD)

Nov. 26, 2019 By Kristen Torres

Police are asking the public for help in identifying two men involved in a string of burglaries in northeast Queens.

According to police, the break-ins began on Oct. 25 at a home located at 154th Street and 20th Avenue in Whitestone.

The suspects forced open a window at the back of the home and stole the 60-year-old male victim’s laptop and jewelry. They then forced the door of the building’s basement apartment open but were confronted by the tenant and fled the scene.

The suspects burglarized two more homes in Flushing on Oct. 28.

The men first forced open the door at 147th Street and 29th Avenue and made off with jewelry and $10,000 in cash. They then broke into a nearby home at 149th Street and 22nd Avenue, stealing more jewelry and another $5,000 in cash, according to police.

Police say the men burglarized another two homes on the night of Nov. 8. The suspects forced their way into a rear window of a residence near Murray Street and 17th Avenue before stealing jewelry and handbags from the 36-year-old female victim’s home.

The two men then forced open the window of a different residence at the same location — again gaining access through a rear window — and stole more jewelry and clothing.

On Nov. 9, the individuals broke into a residence at 149th Street and 22nd Avenue. It is unclear if the suspects removed any property from the home, according to police.

Anyone with information in regard to the identities of the males is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
