A Flushing woman died Monday just days after she was struck by a car while crossing 162nd Street last week.
Adela Hernandez, 69, was hit by a car on Nov. 25 around 5 p.m. while crossing the street north of 46th Avenue in Flushing, police said. She was taken to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center where she was pronounced dead a week later on Dec. 2.
A 41-year-old male was driving a 2018 Subaru Impreza when he struck Hernandez, according to police.
The driver remained at the scene and was not injured.
No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing, police said.

drivers that don’t have peripheral vision should be driving
It’s angry car drivers vs. innocent pedestrians, and the angry car drivers win all the time. Ever try crossing Queens Blvd during the evening rush? Even when the light is red cars go thru and rev their engines making crossing the large boulevard very challenging, especially for all the elderly.
Besides the wreckless drivers you have STUPID PEDESTRIANS CROSSING AGAINST THE LIGHT AND DON’T EVEN BOTHER LOOKING !!!
