A lawyer was discovered dead inside his Jackson Heights office Thursday morning, and the incident is being treated as a potential homicide, police said.

The man was found dead inside his 37-06 82nd St. office, laying on the floor with trauma to his body and face, police said. He was declared dead at the scene at 6:04 a.m.

The victim has been identified as Charles Zolot, 65, of Briarwood. He is listed online as a divorce and child custody attorney.

The NY Post reports that a tenant in the building said that Zolot had been threatened by two of his clients.

“Some clients of his threatened him and then they came back and did the deed last night,” the tenant told the NY Post.

The tenant, who asked to remain anonymous, reportedly said that security cameras at the building caught the pair in the building Wednesday night.
