The police are looking for the driver of a black SUV who was allegedly firing shots at parked cars in Whitestone during the early hours Thursday morning—with some shots flying into a house.
The NYPD released footage Saturday of the vehicle the suspect was driving at around 1:20 a.m. on Sept. 30 in hopes of nabbing the perpetrator.
The driver allegedly fired shots at a 2007 Jeep Wrangler that was parked at 15th Drive and 149th Street, before going on to discharge a firearm at a 2007 Chevrolet Express 1500 van, which was parked at 154 Street and 21 Avenue.
The suspect went on to fire shots at two other vehicles, including a 2020 Toyota Sienna (yellow cab), which was parked at 154 Street and 22 Avenue, and a 2022 Chevrolet Silverado, which was parked in front of 146-41 20 Road.
The shots fired at the Chevrolet also traveled into a house at that location, where three people were sleeping. There were no injuries reported.
