New York City retained its rank as the most expensive city to pay rent among the 100 cities included in the study. One-bedroom units in New York City set a new record with the rent increasing 2.3% from August to September to $4,080. This also represented a 3.3% increase from September 2022. Latimer’s Flushing house now serves as a museum in the area which is dedicated to his legacy. Meng announced her legislation while attending the Latimer House Museum’s 175th birthday celebration of Latimer earlier this month. The deal addresses allegations that Dr. Arun Arora violated the federal False Claims Act by billing Medicare for critical care services to residents of nursing homes in Queens when he provided only routine care, such as regular medical checkups.
