Police from the 109th Precinct in Flushing are looking for a burglar who allegedly targeted a commercial establishment inside the New World Mall and stole tens of thousands of dollars more than a month ago.
The suspect walked into the Royal Queen Restaurant, one of nearly a hundred retail shops and eateries at the mall located at 136-20 Roosevelt Ave. near Main Street in downtown Flushing.
The perpetrator entered the Szechuan-style restaurant and catering space just after 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 6, and walked into the office where he removed $20,000 in cash before leaving on foot in an unknown direction, police said.
The NYPD released a surveillance image of the suspect on Thursday. He had a crew cut and wore a dark hooded winter jacket, dark pants and gray sneakers or shoes.

Through Mar. 3, the 109th Precinct has reported 72 burglaries so far this year, 42 fewer than the 114 reported at the same point last year, a decline of 36.8%, according to the most recent CompStat report.
