A Flushing man was sentenced to 11-and-a-half years in prison for wounding an off-duty correction officer during a shootout in Queens Village in the summer of 2022, according to the Queens District Attorney’s Office.

Nov. 6, 2023 By Bill Parry Two men were shot and wounded in Auburndale and police from the 107th Precinct in Fresh Meadows are still looking for the gunman and his accomplice behind the shooting nearly a week later, according to the NYPD. The shooting went down just before 1 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 31, when the two suspects were allegedly robbing a 28-year-old man in the vicinity of 161st Street and Jewel Avenue.
