50-Year-Old Woman Found Dead Inside Crocheron Park in Bayside Friday

The police are investigating the death of a missing 50-year-old woman who was found dead inside Crocheron Park in Bayside Friday.

The woman was discovered by a passerby inside the park, located at 214-41 34th Ave., at around 4 p.m., according to police. She had been reported missing earlier in the day.

The woman was found sitting on the ground with her back against a shipping container and a bag over her head, police said.

EMS responded to the scene and pronounced her dead at the location.

The Medical Examiner is determining the cause of death and an investigation is ongoing, police said.

The woman’s name has not been released, pending family notification.
