A Flushing man whose motorcycle collided with a car near Citi Field Thursday died yesterday from his injuries.

The victim, identified as 27-year-old Andres Guzman-Mejia, was traveling westbound on Roosevelt Avenue at around 9 a.m. Thursday when his 2011 Kawasaki motorcycle collided with a 2003 Honda Civic at the intersection of 126th Street-Seaver Way and Roosevelt Avenue, according to police.

Guzman-Mejia struck the rear passenger door of the Honda, which was also traveling westbound on Roosevelt Avenue.

He was ejected off the motorcycle and hit one of the elevated train structure pillars, police said. He was unconscious when responding officers arrived at the scene, and was taken to New York-Presbyterian Queens with trauma to his head.

I’m on a main road in Queens and between motorcycles, motorbikes, electric scooters and other non-licensed and non-driver paying vehicles, they all speed as if they’re on the Indy 500! Not to mention the annoying fart cars that blast crappy music at all hours of the day and night. We need more cameras. I’ve seen these vehicles and cars try to overtake other cars which are accidents waiting to happen.

Three sought in armed robbery near Flushing Meadows Corona Park: NYPD

Police from the 110th Precinct in Elmhurst are looking for armed robbers who targeted a 26-year-old woman in Corona and remain at large nearly two weeks later.

Police say three strangers approached the woman as she walked near the Playground for All Children in Flushing Meadows Corona Park at Corona Avenue and Saultell Avenue at around 4:20 a.m. on Friday, July 12. One of the perpetrators allegedly pulled out a small silver revolver and threatened the victim, while the others forcibly removed two yellow gold necklaces worth $2,000, according to the police report; however, an NYPD spokesman said it is not clear if that was the value of both chains or each one individually.
