A man was fatally stabbed while in bed during a home invasion in Flushing early Sunday morning.

Wong Yat, 41, was asleep with his wife in their 3rd floor apartment at 132-18 57th Rd. when a man broke in at around 2 a.m. via the balcony and woke the pair up.

Yat was stabbed multiple times in the body during a commotion. Meanwhile, his wife exited the apartment.

When police arrived, they discovered Yat in bed with multiple stab wounds to his body. EMS declared him dead at the scene.

The police also found the suspect, Yang Zhang, 35, in the backyard and arrested him. According to the NYPost, Zhang tried to resist arrest and had to be tasered.

Police said that Zhang was going from balcony to balcony trying to break into apartments prior to the killing.

Zhang, who lives on 147th Street in Flushing, has been charged with murder in the second degree, burglary and criminal possession of a weapon.
