A Long Island man who allegedly killed his pregnant girlfriend and dumped her body on the side of a road in Bayside was indicted for murder Wednesday.

Goey Charles, 30, was indicted on a charge of murder in the second degree at Queens Supreme Court yesterday for the Oct. 23 killing of his girlfriend — who was carrying his child.

Charles, of Uniondale, was caught on surveillance video dragging the body of 29-year-old Vanessa Pierre from her car onto the sidewalk near Horace Harding Expressway at 4:38 a.m., according to the charges.

Hours earlier, Charles and Pierre were seen together in Pierre’s white Dodge Challenger. Surveillance video shows Charles driving and Pierre in the backseat of the car when he pulls over in front of 216-07 Horace Harding Expressway at about 2:50 a.m.

Charles steps out of the driver’s seat and into the back of the car, where Pierre is seated and moving, the video shows. Soon after Charles pregnant girlfriend appears motionless and he gets out of the back of the car, according to the charges.

Later that morning, at 6 a.m., a passerby found Pierre’s body with a pair of gray sweatpants wrapped around her neck on the sidewalk. Emergency responders pronounced her dead at the scene.

Charles faces up to 25 years to life in prison if convicted. He is set to return to court on Feb. 3, 2021.

Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz denounced the killing.

“The defendant is accused of committing a despicable, irreparable act of domestic violence – killing the young woman who was to be the mother of his child, dragging her limp body from a car and then abandoning her body alongside a road,” Katz said in a statement. “He will be held accountable for his alleged actions.”
