The Flushing-based nonprofit Glow Cultural Center held a special Lunar New Year celebration and cultural fair on Sunday, Feb. 2, at Flushing Town Hall.
The body of a man in his 20s or 30s was discovered in the grass along the Clearview Expressway in Queens Village on Tuesday morning.
The body was spotted just before 9 a.m. near the tree line by a motorist who pulled over on the shoulder of the northbound lane near the Union Turnpike exit alongside Cunningham Park.

Police from the 109th Precinct in Flushing are looking for a crazed karaoke singer who attacked a 24-year-old man during the early morning hours of Monday, Jan. 20, and remains at large.
The assault occurred at 4 a.m. inside the 9Plus KTV & Party Lounge, located at 136-28 39th Ave., when a blonde woman began arguing with the victim over a karaoke microphone. The suspect picked up a metal drink pitcher and smashed him in the head with it, causing serious physical injury to the victim, police said Monday.

Two Flushing residents were critically injured during an apartment fire early Tuesday morning.
The FDNY responded to a call received just after 12:30 a.m. after the blaze broke out in a sixth-floor apartment at 142-20 Franklin Ave. between Union Street and Bowne Street. Dispatchers sent 25 units to the location, bringing 106 firefighters and EMS personnel to the scene.
