The NYPD has identified the suspect wanted for killing a woman and wounding another during a deadly shooting in Ridgewood Monday morning.

Pedro Cintron, 55, is wanted for allegedly shooting his 51-year-old girlfriend Migdalia Ortega in the head following a domestic dispute between the pair while they were inside her third-floor apartment at 66-17 Fresh Pond Rd.

Cintron allegedly shot Ortega at around 8:15 a.m. and then opened fire on her neighbor who came to her assistance. He allegedly shot her neighbor, a 49-year-old female, in the abdomen and the shoulder.

Both victims were transported to Elmhurst Hospital. Ortega succumbed to her injuries a few hours later, while her neighbor is listed in critical but stable condition.

Cintron fled the scene in a dark blue Nissan Rogue. He remains at large.

Police said that there were no prior reports of domestic violence involving the couple. Ortega was a civilian NYPD employee at the time of her death who worked in information technology, according to police.

It is unclear what sparked the initial dispute and police did not provide any other details surrounding the incident.

Police have released photos of Cintron.

Anyone with information in regard to Cintron’s whereabouts is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782)
