Nov. 7, 2022 By Christian Murray

A 25-year-old man in an Audi was attacked by an armed man following a wild car chase through the streets of College Point last week, according to police.

The victim was driving his Audi Q5 at around 10:35 p.m. on Nov. 2 near the intersection of College Point Boulevard and 22nd Avenue when a dark colored SUV went straight for him.

The 25-year-old swerved out of the way to avoid getting hit when a white Ford F-150 pick-up truck plowed into his vehicle on the opposite side causing him to be pinned between both vehicles. A man then got out of the SUV, according to police, and approached the victim with a firearm—and pointed it at him.

The victim was able to drive his vehicle away and traveled northbound on College Point Boulevard.

The pick-up truck followed him and rear-ended the victim’s vehicle, causing him to crash into an unoccupied parked car.

The victim then exited his vehicle and ran on foot on College Point Boulevard toward 20 Avenue, where the white pick-up truck struck him at the corner.

The 25-year-old was able to get back up and continued running northbound on College Point Boulevard as he was chased by an armed man also running on foot.

The male chasing the victim discharged a firearm in his direction but did not hit him.

The victim was able to run into a bodega at the corner of 18th Avenue and College Point Boulevard where he sought refuge and asked an employee to call 911.

The victim sustained minor injuries to his right knee from being struck by the pick-up truck. The unknown suspects and two vehicles fled the location to parts unknown.

The armed man is described as having a light complexion, with a medium build and black hair, last seen wearing a black jacket with wide white lapel, a black shirt with white lettering on the front, black pants and black sneakers.

Police released surveillance video and photos of the vehicles and the armed man.

Anyone with information in regard to this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782)
