Woman Fought Off Would-Be Rapist on Flushing Street: NYPD

A 43-year-old woman fought off a would-be rapist who attacked her on a Flushing street Saturday.

The woman was walking on the sidewalk in the vicinity of 27th Avenue and 146th Street when the man grabbed her from behind at around 5 p.m., according to police.

The victim was pushed to the ground by the man who then attempted to remove her clothing, police said.

The woman fought back, and the suspect decided to flee, police said.

The woman did not sustain any injuries, police said.

Police have released video and photos of the suspect.

Police from the 110th Precinct in Elmhurst are looking for a hit-and-run driver who struck a 14-year-old boy and allegedly sped away from the scene earlier this month.
